Welcome to Highlands Kids Ministry of Church of the Highlands, San Bruno
Our mission is to foster and develop more followers of Christ from an early age. Our kid’s Ministry strives to work alongside parents to instill authentic and enduring faith in the younger generation. Whether connecting with children on a weekly basis at Sunday School and AWANA, or at one of our special events, we are committed to grounding our efforts in prayer and the teachings of God's Word, while nurturing deep and meaningful friendships.

SAFETY FIRST - Ways we keep our children safe and secure: 

  • Easy check-in platform that you sign in with your children each time you attend our Sunday services, weekly program or special events.

  • Children will only be released to parent or guardian who checked them in at arrival, unless we are notified ahead of time of alternative approved pick up person(s).

  • All of our team members are cleared through background check and given classroom safety training.

  • In the event we need to contact you during the service, we will text the phone number you provided at check-in.

PARENTS’ RESOURCE

  • Highlands Kids offers childcare for 2 to 4 years old at the 8:30am, 10am and 11:30am services. Our Nursery is open for parents with babies up to 2 years old to care for their children and listen into all of our services in the sanctuary.

    Sunday School for Preschool* through 5th grade is available at the 10am & 11:30am services (Tots: 3 & 4 years old, Kinder to 2nd, and 3rd to 5th) and 5pm service (worship in the sanctuary followed by Bible @ the Science Lab w/Mr. Mozzone).

    Each Sunday, our children have a time of worship, teaching, sharing, learning, and praying. Our classes and lesson plans are carefully prepared by our teachers for the specific age groups; Tots, Elementary I and Elementary II.

    *Preschoolers attending our Sunday School classes, weekly program and special events must be fully potty trained

  • Fall Session begins Sep 11, 2024
    Each week we strive to engage our children with the gospel and build lifelong faith.

    Our time together includes a Large Group Time where the children gather together for the bible lesson; Small Group Time devoted for our lesson workbook and memory verse; Group Activity Time to build relationships through crafts or games.

    THE AWANA GOALS
    Leader-Child Relationships:
    The Awana Clubs program is designed to foster connection with loving, caring adults so kids know they belong.

    Bible Engagement:
    Learning and memorizing Scripture helps children know the Gospel, study God's Word and believe what it says about life.

    Spiritual Development:
    Through relationships and Scripture, children are discipled to grow deep and lasting faith.

    Join us at 6:15pm for family dinner, our activities start from 6:30pm to 8pm.
